Google Plus Profile Team has possibly just pulled off one of  the worst customer service moves in internet history by forcing its users to use their real names with google+ profiles despite what the terms of service and user agreements may tell you. “Google services support three different types of use new window when it comes to your identity: unidentified, pseudonymous, identified.”

Is this all a part of a huge scheme to falsify its 20 million users, of which you have to ask yourself:  ”How many of those 20 million are suspended profiles?” Indeed this all seems to be an attempt by Google Plus to let its users invite all their favorite sites, blogs, news host, writers… ect, ect to make a google+ profile, allowing them to quickly build that 20 million in 3 weeks.

Google Plus did not make pseudonyms clear at registration. After being invited to Google Plus, we had several of our profiles suspended. Right after they say “Google services supports pseudonymous, they double speak and say in the suspension message:  “We are currently limiting profiles to real people” .

A Pseudonym (literally, “false name”) is a name that a person (or, sometimes, a group) assumes for a particular purpose and that differs from his or her original. Pseudonyms are often used to hide an individual’s real identity, as with writers’ pen names, actors, musicians, and other performers sometimes use stage names. Pseudonym are also used as handles, Such as gamers, and even using other means of terrestrial communication.

I was unaware of Googles “name” policy when I accepted my invitation. After searching the web about profile suspensions its clear there will be a real issue. Why does Google Plus do nothing to prevent fake names from creating an account, like you see with Facebook or other sites have at registation.  What about people like us who are interested in finding like-minded people in the computer tech world. While building and exploring the Google Plus social circles I have noticed many profiles which use names of their blogs, websites, or interest, and the countless others who have built a reputation under a user name that may not be their “real name”, all of them to be removed?

At the same time the Google Buzz Team can enjoy their anonymity with their Google Buzz Team profile left in tact. That is right, the same Google Buzz that was sued for revealing its users private information. Yet professionals, like news anchors, radio hosts, authors, ect, can not keep their anonymity to protect themselves, friends and family?

I believe Google Plus is a great idea, however I feel limiting user names of “Pen Names” or “Pseudonym” is a real threat to personal privacy. In addition there are many reports of adsense, gmail and other Google related products becoming effected or inactivated upon their Google Plus profile suspension!

It is my opinion that Google Plus has made a HUGE mistake, and I know that I am not alone. My suggestion is to give the Google Plus Profile Team a piece of your mind and let them know how you feel about this issue, and contact Google Plus Profile Team at this address profiles-support@google.com as well as sending in site feedback though your profile, and Tweet, post, mention, to as many people you can urging them to contact Google Plus about these issues!
